No doubt because any drug that uses CYP3A4 CANNOT be tolerated by these people.  This would lose billions of dollars by  pharma.  So they seem bent on keeping secondary porphyria in the dark. And  we can see enormous neuropsychiatric symptoms erupt when these neurotoxins – from incomplete heme synthesis – are released… Often a tell tail is upper body neuropathy.  And this can then present suddenly.

One well meaning doctor in 2012 put my 18 year old son on high dose ( 48 mg a day) of ivermectin because his muscle testing showed a parasite in the brain. ( Which was not that surprising since he grew up in many poor third world countries).  But after a week his body started to feel like it was burning up and not knowing about the porphyria factor we didn’t stop. Anyway he ended up in the ER hospital. Sometimes I guess you have to make mistakes to learn such things though… Angela
